    I think we're currently at 567 federally-recognized nations, now, in 2013.  That doesn't include those with only state recognition, those that are seeking recognition (not all of whom are legit, but some are), or those that have been decertified improperly.  If you factor in those that were forced to merge into extant nations or exterminated outright, the numbers go much, much higher.  

    So much loss . . . .

      remiss in not thanking you for featuring Carter Camp's own words about his direct family history.
      I am glad that he was honored in this way for his leadership. I salute him and all the other AIM activists for their great courage and integrity in standing up against the huge forces of the U.S. Their example is powerful and absolutely worth remembering.
