  •  I considered including fossil fuels in general (7+ / 0-)

    as a blunder, but I can't make up my mind about something: Whether it was necessary in the 19th and 20th centuries in order to rapidly produce an advanced technological civilization out of previous eras that were overwhelmingly agrarian.  I'd don't think we'd be very far along by now if we'd skipped FF's entirely.  It may have been a necessary transitional state from agrarian to electronic.

    Democracy is a habit, not a circumstance.
