Perhaps it's just me, but this is entirely predictable behavior, the GOP Obama insists on treating in good faith will stab him in the back with lies without hesitation.

They do it because they know they can get away with it, Obama is a political pushover who won't make them pay a price.

Look, a lot of this is GOP immaturity and disgusting politics, but it never, ever would be in place with a President who would make them pay for it.

Grand Bargain this, home.  Social Security is worth the politics of the GOP?

For republicans, a good offense is always their best defense. So they Gin up outrage and seeing if it sticks, after calibrating how much unbiased information people in their base will have.
If they did not do it for the sequester, They'd do it for something else.

The question really is, how do you counter this and make an argument that will be heard and understood by the electorate?

It seems incredible to me that there's not some way for our message to be heard by some red-state voters.

I mean these are  fat  crying, and whining congressmen who fly weekly and can't man up and take it with the rest of us.

What's reality? have you been on a major carrier, where for or five levels of status-ed fliers board before the rest of us? Platinum frequent fliers, (like most republican  congressmen, I expect) will use their clout to skip to the head of the line to avoid delayed flights, while tweeting via delux ipads on their way to meet a lobbyist, with little impact are all on their lives.
      Then whine via tweets.

All of that should be fertile ground for political discourse. So we should look to ourselves and ask what should we be doing better if these tweets hurt us.

Sounds mighty good right now, with a twist.
