ruining the big trees. Here they accumulate moss and heavy leaves, that in a big rainstorm crack off huge limbs.
Once things start pushing out to bloom I'm ready for spring. Everything is blooming here, my neighborhood has tons of Rhododendron and azaleas, flowering dogwood and ornamental fruit trees. I plucked a big bunch of lilacs, and they smell great above me.

to see the Oregon coast area in all seasons. The last time I was there (Dec. 2007) I was happy to see that calla lilies were blooming and people were harvesting cabbages.

Indian Paint brush is profuse, as well as callas, they love it there. hydrangeas, laurel have a really long season. The drive down is awesome in all seasons - the birch and cottonwood have so much drama - skeletal in winter, bright green in spring, cool shade in summer and a riot of color in the fall.
