it is for her.. She can't eat fruit, most vegetables, brown rice makes her insane, oatmeal and most grains have the same effect. She's down to meats, poultry, white rice and dairy. And today we see if dairy has to be eliminated as well.

Oh, and she needs to gain about 20 pounds. Sigh

she has such an extreme carbohydrate sensitivity. A sensitivity to brown rice means that even the bran is sensitizing to her. In India, the bran is used for infants that fail to thrive as a last resort, and the bran has saved many babies' lives. If your daughter reacts so strongly to the rice bran, she has a deep constitutional imbalance. The reason I mentioned homeopathy is that, like Traditional Chinese Medicine, the medicine works with constitutional issues.

Conventional medicine can diagnose where her present sensitivities lie. But once she is on a given diet that works for her, she may well eventually develop sensitivities to those foods as well. She has some constitutional issues that may be better addressed by alternative methods than just an elimination diet.

Again, this is a difficult situation, but you are one motivated mom! That will probably ultimately lead you to a diet you both can live with for her.
