    Did you look at the video above (in daily motion)?

    One of the scenes was "christianISTs" knocking down all the pagan statues off the Parthenon.

    I don't recall what the original fate of the Athena statue was, but around 390 to 425 CE, "christianISTs" were destroying pagan arts, literature and science at a record rate.

    So, with regard to this Athena statue, it is PAGAN of origin, and the legend of course ascribes "wisdom" to Zeus emerging from his forehead as Athena. See?

    Now, there are a lot of nut-cases in US-based christianISM, and they kill doctors, hurt people they don't like, and do other nasty things their "sky god" tells them to do.

    I am surprised that the Athena artist didn't get death threats, frankly. ;o)
