  •  I wonder (5+ / 0-)

what the people in his district would think of somebody protesting at the funeral of on of the Boston bombing victims?

I wonder what they would say about this action by a union, in response to that?

This was how the protesters reacted:

    •  It's sad but many people actually benefit from (4+ / 0-)

and even like what unions do but they've been conditioned by 50+ years of John Birch inspired babble about them being Communist fronts or gangster organizations that when they hear the word "union" they freak out. But they love their 40 hour work weeks, weekends, vacation time, etc. that unions fought for (and some members died for). Damn propaganda from the right has turned the middle class against one of the best things for it -- unions.

You can't assassinate the character of any of modern conservative. You'd have to find where it was buried, dig it up, resurrect it, then kill it. And killing a zombie isn't really assassination, is it?

Removal of child labor. 40-hour weeks. OSHA and workplace safety.

Whether or not you are in a union, you reap the benefits of decades of union efforts on your behalf.

        •  Even management, a better trained workforce (0+ / 0-)

          is a definite plus.
Really, only the ownership is "harmed", but even there who wants to live at the top of a dystopian society?
If I were rich, I would want the clerk at the store to be attentive and knowledgeable,  not overworked and under trained.  I would want the building I walk into to be built with competence, not corner cutting.  An I definitely want the cook at the restaurant to be healthy.

These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert to fleece the people, and now that they have got into a quarrel with themselves, we are called upon to appropriate the people's money to settle the quarrel. Abraham Lincoln
