    Try again to convince me that G.E. overbuilt the Mark I and II reactors with extra margins of safety.

    60 years? I'm highly skeptical.

    Kewaunee Power Plant in Wisconsin is about to shutdown on May 7, despite having its license extended through 2033. Why? Because it is a money losing rustbucket.

    •  Actually it was in many some ways. I can list (0+ / 0-)

      them. But they upgraded everyone in the US (before fukushima). Yes, the Kwaunee plant will shut down. This has to do with it not being "too expensive" (costs to run a nuke are trivial) but goes to profitability and commerical debt.
