  •  I didn't care much for the Bobbsey Twins, (6+ / 0-)

    but my aunts gave them to me as gifts so I dutifully read them. Never did read Nancy Drew, though, or the Hardy Boys or Tom Swift, but my dad had a stack of 1920s "Motor Boys" adventures which I read over and over. There was one called The Motor Boys on Road and River, and another with an airplane on the cover that was my favorite.

    I think I was too old for the Hollisters, and I never heard of Bunny.... What I liked best of all was Edgar Rice Burroughs and the Mars books!
