If anyone doesn't think they do, they why the vigorous debate about which labels to use?

If these two fools were not Muslim would congresspersons be demanding we ignore our own laws and send them off to Gitmo? Any congresspersons crying for disregarding those pesky constitutional niceties with regards to mass murderers using guns instead of bombs? No, because the shooters are almost all white guys with Christian legacies of one form or another using this country's favorite WMDs. The shooters are always isolated by the terminology used to define them: crazies, one-offs, sociopaths, criminals, etc. Their taint is never allowed to endanger the arms merchants or the politicians that protect them. We don't dare refer to shooters are terrorists because it would make a mockery of our fucked up guns laws that deny weapons to no one.

Powerful people want the bombers defined by links to our sworn enemy AQ, which justifies more growth in the homeland security industry and a further erosion of rights and privacy. If the bombers were a couple home grown white guys they just would not fit the narrative.

Btw, the whole idea of "self-radicalized" is also a nice way of saying all Muslims in this country must be suspect, rights be damned.
