    "law abiding" refers to compliance. Words don't mean what they say in the culture of obedience. Everything means something else when euphemisms and dysphemisms rule.

    The object, I think, is disorientation, so that nobody does anything that's not immediately directed. Compliance is all in the culture of obedience. I imagine it as similar to color being the only thing that counts when it comes to margarine.

    "I can't believe it's not butter." It looks just the same.

    Compliance is a visual thing. Like bowing. Bowing to the wrong people is bad. Like complying with moral principles.

    We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.

      I got a notably strong agreement when I mentioned that the point of it was to make us small, so we do whatever they say and happy with whatever crumbs they let us have.

      Those guys really, really got it about a life reduced.

      To me that life reduced is the common thread, the replicable model, from Tea Party to shooter to the self-edifying Romney class.
