    the Democratic primary will win the seat. Markey's still up 20 on all the Republicans and none of them has crossover appeal, particularly the front-runners Sullivan and Gomez.

    Lynch polls better in the general only because he's more palatable to right-leaning independents but holds on to everyone on the left who won't vote Republican. Not everyone, actually. I won't vote for Lynch for anything. If he does win the primary I'll write in someone else.

    My concern is what happens in the low-turnout primary. Markey's the guy on the issues, and a lot of liberal, engaged voters turn out, but Lynch has shown he's got a formidable GOTV apparatus as well.
