The question was rhetorical. Not meant to be literal.

Back in the early days, women built this damn country, and could do anything a man could do, often better. My ggg-grandmother was such a woman.  The Internet does not do subtlety or nuance well. One should be careful about alleging stuff when one does not know the background. Not all of these were on DKos, but yesterday I saw a Jewish guy flamed for being "antisemitic."  AA bloggers I know have been accused of being "racist." And then there is one M-F transgendered user who was accused of being "homophobic."

Saltpeter is used for stump removal, gardening, and curing meat. It is not all that hard to get. Sulfur is commonly available, and many farm and garden supply stores carry it.

There were 4,033 instances of explosive devices last year, resulting in one death and 37 injuries. In 2011, there were 5,219 incidents, causing 36 injuries and 5 deaths.  The money would be better spent on health care, safety education and mental health care. In our county alone, we average more injuries and deaths in a month from auto accidents than the whole country does in an entire year from explosives. The bomb incident in Boston will push the numbers up, but that is a single crime.
