It's disturbing how blatantly republicans are destroying our country for profit and even more disturbing how oblivious the base that keeps supporting them is about this fact. How brainwashed are republican voters?! They are clearly deluded, believing that when they vote republican they are voting for "family values" despite the fact that just about everything republicans support these days completely undermines the essence of the American Family and instead enables the rich and powerful. The republicans have done virtually nothing to support the middle (let alone lower) class in decades. They may have as individuals supported and voted for certain legislation that ultimately helped those groups of Americans, but they've never led the charge to make any group other than the 1% a legislative priority.

I wonder what would happen if a large group of republican voters were assembled for a "forum" and presented a detailed list of things republicans have enacted/voted for/voted against over the last several years. The list, of course, would need to be presented as hypotheticals and not attributed to a specific political party so that unbiased responses could be obtained. I bet it would be easy to pass the list off as hypothetical since that voting base teeters between low information and no information and seems to have collective short term memory loss. I wonder if those republican voters would be appalled. I have to think they'd be adamantly opposed to nearly everything listed.

Then when it was revealed that everything they were presented was actually a crossed off republican to do list (and the coffee they were served was actually Folgers instant coffee!!!) I wonder how they would feel? Bewildered? Ignorant? Indifferent?

It's just like the surveys that illustrate how uninformed the public is about health care reform; they overwhelmingly support individual components of the new law...and only when it's referred to as Obamacare are they opposed to it.

To be blunt, if you do not suffer from seriously diminished mental capacity or the personality disorder that is right wing extremism and still vote Republican...I'd double check on the two previously mentioned conditions.
