for reasons that should be all too obvious.

If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!

    •  I understand. I really do. (3+ / 0-)

Before I posted that I hesitated, thinking of you in particular. If I caused pain, I apologize.

I haven't written many diaries recently, but have several i am working on. One is the story of Charlie Brown and Franz Stigler. I know an Air Canada captain who knew both men. Since I posted the account of my friend Kirby Cowan and the Buchenwald incident over on the Jonathan Turley blog, more information has come to light. I will be re-posting that story here, updated with the new information. Stay tuned.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your series on how planes fly. Thanks for that. At the Asheville meetup last Saturday, you were the hot topic of conversation, so if your ears were burning, that's why.  Even non-fliers love them, because you make it both interesting and informative. One Kossack said'  "His love of flying just jumps off the screen."
