  •  Thank you for exhibiting the kind (0+ / 0-)

of religious chauvinism exhibited in our culture. Very few, if any, terrorists simply decide to kill or maim because the "Koran" says so. There has to be a real, present and genuine grievance. Southern Baptists and Mormons do not face the oppression that many in the Arab world face, if anything, they support the oppressors. Your statement is the kind of one-sided crap pushed out to justify endless wars on terror.

kind of. Your qualification.. "if any", negates the accuracy of your claim. Some terrorists DO decide to kill and maim based on their understand of the Koran. Not most. Not a plurality. A tiny tiny percentage. But that doesn't mean that the threat doesn't exist. It does. And in today's world, that kind of threat is primarily found in the Muslim world. We can bury our heads in the sand and pretend that it doesn't exist, or it's warranted because of someone else's actions, or they're not really to blame because they have no other choice. But the danger is real, it's not hypothetical, or imaginary. We saw it last week.

I don't have a solution, but pretending it isn't real isn't one either.
