...or even so-called "radical Islam." The issue is disaffected young men with easy access to weapons and a grudge to bear.

Muslims and tigers and bears, oh my!

    •  So Islam has nothing to do with (0+ / 0-)

the kidnappings, murders, bookstore bombings, riots, and death sentences that have occurred in response to cartoons, novels, and silly movies that some Muslims find offensive?  Who do you really expect to believe that?

If it isn't "Islam" then what the hell is it?

the problem is violent video games.

Although he does have a point. It does seem that there was an issue here of "disaffected youth". Teenage angst is nothing new. And I'm not entirely sure it is something can be cured or even should be. Certainly bullying plays a part, but it's not always present. Some kids turn to drugs. Some to sports. Or to study. Or video games. Or religion.

Drugs may lead to crime, but rarely mass murder. We've seen were violent video games may have played a part. And religion? I'm not aware of born again Christians becoming mass murderers. Or ultra-Orthodox Jews. Or Mormon kids going on missions and coming home with bomb making skills.
