    with dangerous conditions, I think of when I was a construction worker, how many of my union brothers died on the job.

    So...Yglesias is saying that good wages make it worth it to risk your life on the job? All the workers named are skilled workers, they deserve both good pay and safety on the job.

    And low-skilled workers deserve safety and a living wage also. Where ever they work.

    And Slate is supposed to be some kind of brain trust?

    Well, at least he admits that these workers were murdered for profit.  That's something, I suppose.
