    ...I think you're ultimately right with your comment at the end that "maybe it's not worth the trouble".

    Because the problem is that it can and will be abused by unscrupulous employers.  It's a shame, because I do personally like the concept of comp time.  I would love to see more flexible work arrangements, part time work options, etc -- but only if there was a fair balance of power between workers and management to ensure that these things benefitted labor, and not just the companies.

    Since I don't see us achieving that sort of balance in the current environment, the best bet is to just push back on any attempts to expand comp time.

      Thing is -- they can abuse just about anything anyway.

      The answer is enforcement.
