    Science answers the other questions - what, where, when, how, etc.

        as "how is the sky blue?", or "what causes the sky to appear blue"? I suppose it depends on what sort of answer one is looking for when one asks "why?" If you ask "why am I here?", it's not easy to get a satisfying answer.

            they don't always, and even when they do, those desperate acts can be quite diverse. And trying to figure out what differentiates those who respond by committing violence and those who don't is not a simple task. I'm not convinced that the question is unanswerable, but I think that depends in part on what question is asked.
