    Because it's just as easy to say, "Here's the rule, live with it" to people asking for additional gun restrictions. Come to think of it, that's probably how you feel already, right? And do you think that's a good thing if so?

    There's enough intransigence on both sides of this debate, and a concomitant lack of trust and inclination to compromise, without introducing the "too bad, so sad, this is the way it is" mentality to lawmaking.

      People can weep and whine about those lines, but they HAVE to be there. When the drinking age is 21, it's 21, and that means if you are 20 years 11 months 30 days 23 hours and 59 minutes old, you can't drink.  Too bad, so sad, that's the way it is. Don't like it?  Tough.

      And of course the hardcores will weep and whine no matter WHERE the line gets drawn. So attempting to please them is both impossible and a waste of time.  Fuck 'em. Let 'em weep and whine. (shrug)

      PS--please do not presume to tell me how I feel.  I know exactly how I feel.  You, do not.
