    idyllic in many ways, including size. I've lived in a student co-operative for 5 years, but that had 200 residents. A couple of other Kossacks lived there as well. It was notorious for politics & illegal substances. Not for everyone's tastes. Private suites, but communal meals.

    Alternative housing is definitely the way to go.

      and at the time had a great time. But I think as you get older that gets a bit too hectic. At least for me I find that I like to have fewer relationships, but with more depth and focus.

      I think that's why Doyle Street is such a cool story, as it showcases how even cohousing communities change over time, as they mature. I think the ultimate development would be for cohousing to just become housing, just like green living should just be living.
