Oh, are we mocking the deaths of Texans?

While Mr. Perry seems to think so, isn't it convenient for him to turn it around and shake his finger at us for all the wrong reasons?

I wouldn't mock the deaths of any American, but when lawmakers endanger their own constituents in favor of industry, I can't help but detect a taint of hypocrisy in Perry's attempt to divert attention away from the very policies that allowed this scenario in the first place.

Underregulated industrial plant surrounded by community? Homes, schools, neighborhoods...REALLY?

Fertilizer can blow up. Fertilizer is used to make bombs as well as flowers.

Who the hell decided it was a good idea to put a plant and a neighborhood in close proximity?

Why was there more fertilizer stored there than permissible?

Whose job was it to monitor this plant?

We're not mocking the deaths of innocent Texans, Mister Perry.

We are mocking you and your ilk for negligently failing to do your duty to your constituents. You people are not elected to suck corporate ass. You are to watch out for the best interests of all Texans and you failed miserably.

It is your fault that this happened and these deaths are on your hands. So don't you dare point at us and bitch that we're making fun of the tragedy that happened on your watch.

We're making fun of YOU. Suck it up, princess, and do the job people elected you to do or step aside.

The times, they are a'changin, Rick. You and your kind will be relegated to the dustbin of American history.

THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM. You can write that down in your book in great big letters. -- L. Ron Hubbard Technique 88
