    i don't know what "media studies" will look like or even be called a hundred years from now.

    late 19th century america looked to mark twain to hold up the fun house mirror into which we might see an amusing version of our reflected image.

    we today have the likes of jon stewart and stephen colbert.

    i really do think that their significance as satirists, particularly with today's stenographers posing as journalists to serve as backdrop, will be noteworthy for many years to come.

    this speech in particular will ensure as much.
