  •  Gee, no she comes up with this? (4+ / 0-)

Sure, they gave us 8 years of Bush that wrecked our economy and destroyed our geopolitical standing, but the best she can come up with is "woops, maybe that was a mistake?"

    •  A hand recount might still have elected Bush (0+ / 0-)

but, to tell the truth, my memory is very hazy of that election.

      •  I mean we really just can't know who would (4+ / 0-)

have won.  Even in a recount.  Some stuff is just so questionable; I think anything within say 0.1% of the vote is just a guess by the elections officials.  Gregoire-Rossi, Franken-Coleman, Bush-Gore.  Either side might have won that election.  We'll never know.  But the process shouldn't have been cut short by the Supreme Court.

internal state processes of vote certification (so much  for Clarence Thomas's spiel on state's rights). Its also partially the fault of the Gore campaign for not pushing a full statewide recount of all ballots in Florda, that way the Supreme Court wouldn't have been able to use the argument that the recount was an unfair preferential treatment of some voters in Florida over others to stop it.
