    Did you keep a record of everything you bought over the internet in 2012, and file that on your state tax return along with the use tax you owed the state for those purchases?

      Did you keep a record of everything you bought over the internet in 2012, and file that on your state tax return along with the use tax you owed the state for those purchases?
      I told my husband we were going to do this a couple of years ago and he about flipped.  Didn't understand why.  I said because it is the LAW.  We are supposed to be filing annual Use Tax Returns for items purchased outside the state but consumed in Colorado.

      Now, (unless this bill passes), he and I buy as much as we can locally to pay the sales taxes because ultimately we are helping our local governments provide services.
