She could be WAY more to the left.
For example Medicare for all is only slightly less popular then universal background checks

We only think nothing goes without saying.

... she's no Bernie Sanders, but I would hasten to note that South Carolina is no Vermont.

I would tip you, but the man took away my tips.

She is out there enough supporting abortion rights and marriage equality.  Unless you know something about that district that most of us don't, I think she is about as good as it's going to get for that district.

And only slightly off-topic - but that is why I struggle so with "Blue Dogs."  One the one hand they drive me nuts when they don't support Democratic initiatives, but on the other hand, if the alternative is a red-meat, teabagger voting for Boner as Speaker, I guess I'd rather have a Democratic majority with a bigger Blue Dog Caucus, than a smaller Blue Dog Caucus and a Republican Speaker.  Not ideal, but politics is the art of the possible.

... the district, Denver11, and I've lived here for about 3 years now. I've had family down here for 30+ years. Excellent comment! ; )

I agree with your "Blue Dogs" statement as well. To me, it is like rehabilitating an injury. It is going to hurt like hell at first, until eventually it hurts, and finally, one day we get to some form of functioning ability. I think that ECB is at least a couple (unexpected) steps beyond what I'd anticipated as possible at this time in our attempt to rehabilitate the First District.

I would tip you, but the man took away my tips.
