    People who support the death penalty think human life is property, and should be treated accordingly.  They even use the language of property, saying that killers "forfeit" their lives.  Nothing fundamental or sacred - just another corrective transaction.

    Knowing the future is easy: Today's trivia becomes tomorrow's sacrament, and vice-versa.
