    cameras and lights and guns.

We don't even lock up around here. Did you just move out of the city?

How big is your personal carbon footprint?

    •  Nope we are in the country. No cops. So we have (0+ / 0-)

guns. Cameras and lights for the marina. Tweaks/thieves love stealing stuff off boats or the boats themselves. A couple of years ago 23 boats were stolen in 25 days around here. 2 out of our place. The local sheriff recommended adding moar lights. We already had them in the boat sheds, we added more over the waterway. Trolling motors are a hot commodity for thieves all over the country. So are high end rods and reels. Pretty much cannot control who comes through the slough. Waterways around the Delta are lightly patrolled and it's rural. We tossed a berther out of here when we got word that he was rather fond of taking late night boat rides. Just another way of running drugs!

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

      •  That being said - we don't lock our door until (0+ / 0-)

we go to bed and half the time don't lock our vehicles either. It's just that unfortunate once in awhile. sigh. On the land side - everybody knows everybody and keeps an eye out. It's the water side where we have had issues.
