If so, does that mean we have a potential dynasty?  Why did Bill R. fade away so quickly?

    •  yes, Gary King is Bruce King's son (0+ / 0-)

he's a bit articulate than his dad, but I haven't had a real strong impression of what he's been doing in office except argue thru memos with Gov. Martinez.

Since the start of this Congress in Jan. 2011 Michelle Lujan-Grisham is making a a good strong start to her first term in the House, and Udall (Tom, son of Stewart) has had to step up his game with Martin Heinrich settling into his term as our junior Senator.

He's a crook and a womanizer. And he's mean and vindictive. By the time he left office there were few in NM sad to see him go. Apparently, he was so busy wheeling and dealing he didn't make any plans for his future. So he doesn't have one.

      •  Ah. I wondered. Thanks for the info. (2+ / 0-)

Though a continent away from my 15 years in NM, I long for it as if it were my birthplace.  Everything here is covered in green stuff (grass, trees, you know), and the local geology has nothing on the ABQ Basin and the RG Rift.  Plus, it's far too damp here for swamp coolers.  I even miss the black widow spiders in my garage.  Too many arthropods to count around here, including the soon-to-emerge 17-year locusts.

But at least my Maryland is Safely Blue, even though I'd give a lot to have Tom Udall as my Senator.

I guess a state weird enough to re-elect Gary (toke 'em, smoke 'em) Johnson was capable of putting an R into the governorship.  Watching y'all's newer Dems with great interest.

Thanks, NMRed and HappyinNM.  Always grateful for your time.
