    they are hoping that will give them time to get their apps straightened out.

    Should that happen, the purchase, not the apps, I think Nook owners should be given the option to exchange the DRM code that enables a book to be read on the Nook for one read on the Kobo, Calibre or Kindle or other reader of their choice. But I also  think Windows sucks and would not want Microsoft anywhere near my reading material.
