Gomez, who was also a Navy SEAL, said the economy, national security and education are the major issues.

Gomez said he is the strongest candidate on national security and that the tragic bombings 15 days ago at the Boston Marathon show the need for a candidate with his background.

"It's reminded people we live in a very dangerous world," he said. "We've got a lot of terrorists out there that are trying to do as much harm as they can to the United States and to its people."

...While holding a sign for Gomez today, Greer Swiston, 48, of Newton said Gomez appeals to a broad spectrum of voters. In addition to his Navy experience Gomez has worked for about 12 years for private equity firms and he is a first generation American from parents who moved from Columbia.

His debate performances have been abysmal, he has occupied almost every position on the spectrum since 2008, and he has no experience as a candidate. He won the primary by carpet-bombing the airwaves with his own money.

use that nightmare as part of a platform - even Lynch was making me uncomfortable. It reminds me of G doubleyah's push when there were all of those sudden terrorist threats just before his second term election.

Women are 51% of the population yet are represented in congress by barely 17%! Until our representation reflects the population, we risk sliding backwards .....
