  •  You have to admit that (0+ / 0-)

it looks like a pretty impressive Lynch showing in Boston, considering how hopeless his candidacy seems to have been--the current city results (51% of precincts) have Markey ahead with 50.74%.

    •  I actually am impressed w/Markey's showing in (6+ / 0-)

Boston - Lynch is South Boston - that sort of spreads - Menino could have done serious damage to markey if he'd endorsed lynch.

Women are 51% of the population yet are represented in congress by barely 17%! Until our representation reflects the population, we risk sliding backwards .....

Lynch has lived in Boston his whole life and has his biggest base of support there. He's losing now by 6 points with almost all votes counted. That's not good for him.

I will be sorry his coattails have led Southie State Rep. Nick Collins to a narrow win over genuine progressive State Rep. Linda Dorcena Forry in the state senate primary.

Republicans...think the American standard of living is a fine thing--so long as it doesn't spread to all the people. And they admire the Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it. Harry S. Truman

        •  I'm confused (0+ / 0-)

didn't we want Dorcena Forry to win?

I'm being sarcastic. A bad political night in Southie is generally a good political night for me.
