Sadly, first Mass. election in 30 years that I have missed.

But, that's not what is interesting. These are:

That is a pathetic result for Winslow. And potentially impacts 2014. He was part of the Scott Brown "machine" in and around Wrentham. He represents Brown's old state rep seat. Was a judge and on Rmoney's staff. He was the most prominent of the 2010 GOP freshmen class (they doubled the GOP ranks in the state house that year).

He was being touted as a 2014 governor candidate. Probably not now.

Sullivan was - I believe - the last gasp of the tea party. He was the conservative poster child in this race, with decent name recognition, and got thumped.

Browsed the conservative GOP site, redmassgroup, and they are pissed. Very unhappy that Gomez won. Threatening to sit out the general. This isn't 2009/10, so good luck with that.

I expect no repeat of the 2010 debacle. The Mass Democratic Party has one of the best GOTV operations around, and thousands of boots on the ground. Ask Scott Brown how good it is, the 8 point loser.

Gomez is their best candidate. This will be a fight. But Gomez will not have anything on the ground in June. John Walsh and company will.

    Game on.

Peace on Earth was all it said.
