    ... especially lying between those who share a life, and who's future depends on mutual truth and respect ... I didn't realize there were any people who'd consider that "moral".

    I don't want to live in a world, where people are not expected to follow through on obligations and promises they make to those they care about.

    An affair, especially as pictured in the ad, is predicated on lying and deception to the person closest to the one having the affair.

    If you're arguing that some people (or all people) shouldn't be making promises of fidelity... that is a totally different argument.  If people want to have open relationships, fine with me, I have no moral judgement on what anyone does ... as long as everyone consents ... which means that it won't create a victim.  

    Affairs create victims.  If you don't see that, you've never known anyone who's been touched by the wreckage that affairs leave in their wake.
