few good things, but Democrats are left with the fact that ACA is a truly crappy law.

That might not matter so much if it weren't so damned long -- 2700 pages -- because most laws leave enough room to flesh out the details in the drafting of implementing regulations, but...

my hat is off to anybody who can make the sucker work.

There's lots of fancy Ivy-league talent in DC, so I won't say it's impossible.

Work's cut out for you, though.

for - me or big insurance.  I think that's where the public is too.  They're afraid to make it work because they aren't convinced it's meant to work for them.

        Never mind that we have

a: Downsized our insurance substantially since the law was passed because we could no longer afford the insurance we had, and
        b. Downsized again when our downsized policy got too expensive and
        c. Can barely manage the $5,000 deductible, pays for nothing and we don't dare to go the to the doctor plan we have now.

We have seriously considered just junking insurance and putting the money into a savings account. That way, at least, we might be able to afford doctor's visits.

ACA won't let us do that, of course, because of the mandate.  Big welfare policy for insurance companies: we now have no choice but to pay a "tax" (a tax to private companies? Seriously?) to the insurance companies.

        Sorry.
        Just got to griping.
I wonder how the half of Medicaid recipients who get kicked off of Medicaid but can't afford to buy insurance on the exchangesd (that's the CBO estimate, about half) will feel about it?
