    Exactly.  Kurt Warner happened to be a very good NFL quarterback, borderline hall of fame even.  He was every bit as Christian as Tim Tebow, but was less showy about it.  In any case, his case didn't fit into the Evangelical persecution complex, which Tebow's does.

    Cordell Stewart, by the way, was another unconventional quarterback who couldn't find a lasting role in the NFL.  Since he wasn't the Christian Coalition poster boy, he didn't turn into this farce of supposed Christian persecution that Tebow has become.

    The idea that being a Christian in the locker room is anything like being openly gay in the locker room just boggles the mind in it's complete lack of awareness at best.  The cruel reality is that probably many of those most vested in this supposed Christian persecution are, those that are the most hostile to an openly gay athlete, particularly in places such as the locker room or the boy scouts, etc.
