  •  That is a legitimate reason to despise Tim Tebow. (0+ / 0-)

Politics and religion are one thing, but college football is IMPORTANT!!!!

I can accept that you are not hating on Tebow, and am glad to see your comment.

I disagree with you that Tebow makes a show of it.  I've known more than a few evangelicals, and enthusiastic displays of faith go with the territory for many of them.

I think the show is more in viewers' eyes -- Oh look! He got down on his knees! He put bible references in his eye black, etc. What he doesn't do is filter himself for the sake of the world.

Kind of like, well, Jason Collins now.

    •  Tebow broadcast his beliefs during (0+ / 0-)

a Superbowl Ad that was paid for by Focus on the Family. That goes a bit beyond "not filtering one's self," don't you think?

      •  About like Jason Collins and Doritos. (0+ / 0-)

Or Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Rachel Maddow, etc, etc.

Focus on the Family did an ad featuring Tebow.

Why should he run away from that?
