  •  Solution after reading report: Move to Bay Area (0+ / 0-)

The data in this report is accurate if you want to base your assessments on the unemployed numbers that are being used.

However, it is correct to state that those unemployed out of these statistics are figures that have to be accounted for.  The unemployment rate is a mathematical rate that is a percentage calculated from data points that are considered as unemployed according to the process used by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  It is possible to track unemployed not included in this picture.  Simple solution:  Get the U.S. Labor Department to create a form that allows people to fill out if they aren't included in the picture.  It appears no one in Washington DC has even the balls or time to come down to the Bay Area and Silicon Valley to see how many innovators could help the unemployment figures get better and more accurate.

Solution after reading this report:  Move to the Bay Area.  Economy is growing here.  No national news outlets report of the growing Bay Area economy with an even bigger boom than the 1990's so I might as well do it here, even as a progressive Democrat.

    •  DC is a boom area too. (0+ / 0-)

Which also might explain the national media blindness.

"Michael Moore, who was filming a movie about corporate welfare called 'Capitalism: A Love Story,' sought and received incentives."

one of the most expensive places in the U.S. to live.

Actually, Chattanooga, TN, of all places is doing well these days.  Lots of new manufacturing, new VW plant. Beautiful place to live, too.
