  •  If you build a bad enough mouse trap, the world (11+ / 0-)

will beat a path FROM your door.

Clear Channel has a virtual monopoly stranglehold on US radio, and it is so bad, boring, and blatantly biased, more and more people would rather listen to NOTHING...but now we have podcasts.

Maybe after Clear Channel bankrupts itself, we will someday have radio again.

The Koch Bros would never let that happen -- they'll wait for the price to go through the floor, and then they'll buy the whole network. Watch for it.

    •  Unfortunately, there are others waiting... (5+ / 0-)

in the wings to buy up all of the media to keep the right wing memes flowing non-stop, day and night.

They are not getting value from the advertising, they are getting value from the legislation that gets passed by pushing the overton window so far to the right that anything to the left of Joseph McCarthy seems leftist.

This is how they can claim President Obama is a leftwing, socialist (communist) Muslim.  The president's rightwing leaning agenda passes for leftwing because of media personalities (and I use the word personality with its most broad sense) preaching the extremist right wing ideologies they think they can possibly get away with.

"Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not YET sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour..."
