And just about everyone else who sees the GOP trying to blame the president will be reminded who's really at fault.
That only works if people get the message. Problem is, well, look at the comment above this:
and it is certainly not either/or.
Once again, too many on the Left are mouthing the "It's both sides, there's no difference" trope.
And that sabotages any hope that this will rebound against the GOP. Watch as this chant gets repeated, ad nauseum, for the next year or two, driving Democratic voters into apathy.
This is how we lost 2010, lets try to learn from that debacle and not repeat it.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

Let’s just say it: The Republicans are the problem.

...rather than losing focus and pointing out every flaw in our own gene pool. It becomes more than a trifle self-indulgent around here sometimes. If you ask me, this thread is definitely one of those times.

the problem isn't that the sequester was a dumb-fuck stupid idea from the start and Obama has bungled the deficit negotiations horribly starting from his "pivot" to deficit hysteria in the first place. no, the problem is that some liberals are talking about it.

just like in 2010; the problem wasn't that shitty conservative Dems watered down the Dem name to the point where moderates didn't turn out for us, it was that liberals were pointing it out!

warms my heart to see liberals using the Dubya line "if you speak out against what we do, you're giving aid and comfort to the enemy". the irony is just supreme

Banking on the American people to be able to sort all this out and declare the adult in the room the winner is a very big bet. -Digby
