    There was the same feeling back then, (JFK), I think but it got swept under the rug where it festered. Lots more people now and so many poor people and so easy to incite too. And these repubs have it down to an art with so many outlets that make so much money. I believe things will change for the better though. I still have faith in humanity!

      the Revolutionary Communist Party had (has?) a slogan that I've always found appealing;

      A better world is possible.

      It is important not to succumb to despair because then the fascists will have won. The struggle will be long and arduous but, as Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "[t]he arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.'
