of the old saying about the Germans...they are either at your feet or at your throat....

I flipped on CNN yesterday and Erin Burnett was saying that even liberals have turned on the President, citing Dana Milbank and Maureen ODowd's column taking the President to task for lack of leadership in getting the GOP congress to behave.

She had a panel of three...a ''liberal'' who I did not recognize that agreed with Milbank, then Stepanie Miller, who ripped on anyone that thinks the President can ''twist arms''  to get GOPers to go with him,and a third guy who said the President was not finding compromise.

    Thank God for Steph.

    This meme is ridiculous.
I think the President could literally tie some of these guys own mothers to train tracks and threaten to let them expire in front of their eyes and they would not vote for his agenda.

Threatening to cut off pork...there is no pork left.

It is like suicide bombers...when someone does not care, and even relishes dying  in an effort to take down the president, he cannot threaten them.

      Or, in other words,

"Why can't Obama just be like Stalin?"

Just because the government keeps a record of real property transfers, it doesn't mean that the government wants to confiscate your home.

for what the Republican obstructionists obstruct.  Granted and fully agree.  The media and so called liberals every where expect a lot of things that he just cannot do.  100% agree.  It is not fair.

However, can we hold him accountable for things he does have control of?

Can we rake him over the coals for proposing (not compromising but proposing) the chained CPI?

Can we be pissed off that his official policy seems to be that there is nothing he can do about prosecuting bankers who flagrantly break the law?

Can we get upset about President Obama prosecuting Whistle Blowers at an unprecedented rate and ignoring the crimes they reveal?

Can we demand the transparency he promised when he took office?

What about the lobbyist and the multi-billionaires like Pete Peterson that he appears to be listening to, can we be vocally upset about that?

Republican obstruction is part of the problem I will whole heartedly agree with you there.  My beef is the other part of it.  I am angry about what he does not do, what he chooses not to do (and a few of the things he does).

bizarre situation for getting unknown Democrats some face time on network TV.  Obviously this cat fight is what the network news anchors want to push right now so let's get some credible progressive candidates that loudly question things like cuts to Medicare and SS as compromise, question drone use, question Gitmo, take on all these populist budding issues and be the vocal champions of them.  Obama doesn't have to run again.  I think he's offering himself up as a target to do this very thing.  Look how much air time Elizabeth Warren is getting these days.  She can attack the issues even though the President is behind them and the network idiots will eat it up because they smell blood in the water.  And yet, I'll be Warren and Obama get together and just laugh.  I've always believed them on the same side and good friends.
