  •  And this has what to do with Sandy? (0+ / 0-)
    Just to name one:

$1,291,688 to Monmouth County for costs associated with the Sheriff'’s Department supplying security at the shelters, conducting welfare checks, performing search and rescue, and to man emergency call centers

I'm all for supporting Pallone, but a lot of this has absolutely nothing to do with Sandy.
    •  I don't understand what you mean. (0+ / 0-)

The section you quote there seems to me to be storm-related expenses.

      •  Well, for one, I know of many people who can't (0+ / 0-)

even get back in their homes yet.  So the money allotted to supply security at the shelters aren't addressing the issues that need to be addressed now. For the future, yes.  But Sandy's havoc has still not been fully addressed.

        •  That's not the same as... (0+ / 0-)

...saying that the costs being reimbursed had "nothing to do with Sandy".
Your complaint seems to be in how Sandy-related relief is being prioritized.  Which is a topic worthy of discussion and, given the way politics works, it will probably be a depressing discussion.
