    to be a productive part of Daily Kos. That means writing good diaries and civil conversation. That means learning what you can.

    Anyone can criticize. That's easy. Writing a diary of your own is a lot harder. I know. You have to do the research, the writing, and since this is a big tent progressive blog it is a given not everyone will agree with you.

    Even if you aren't the greatest writer, go ahead and write a diary!  What's the worst thing that can happen?  So what if you get some pushback?  If people are being jerks, just ignore them. If it is constructive, try to learn from it. I say that as someone who is very sensitive.

    I have been wishing people who left would return. I feel we lost their talent and perspective. I don't think it was ever true that one perspective dominated the site. It is more true if people don't put their perspective out there.

    As a member of Courtesy Kos, I am dedicated to civility and respect for all kossacks, regardless of their opinions, affiliations, or cliques.
