who you are raging about does do this: "Be the Change you want to See"

And jesus, Angie, the guy has freedom of speech, just the same way that you do.   People are allowed to complain.  Reading this diary, you'd think that someone waged a huge personal insult at you not the blog, or injured you in some profound way.

Also, you never once take the time to listen to what he was saying, or so it seems after reading this diary.  I think you own him a huge apology.  It's not his diary that is the problem, it's diaries like this.

More importantly, I've spent far too many hours of my life reading a variation on a theme diary about what's wrong with Daily Kos for about a decade now, and to be honest, I'm fucking tired of it.
Did it ever occur to you that your way is not the only way, or that when people criticize things, and discussions are the result of it, that it can lead to improvements?  No, you just, not only scold, you scream about it and try to shout it down.
Does anyone ever send a Letter to the Editor of the New York Times bitching about how the paper just isn't what it used to be, and that their itty-bitty, tender feelings are hurt? Hell no they don't. Because the Editor would print their bitchy little screed out, but only to run it through the shredder!
This was the one that caused me to stop extending any benefit of the doubt to you.  Because yes, people DO comment about the NY Times and how it has changed,  all the time and they have been doing so for years now. It's commonplace.  This idea you've written here is not just wrong, it's out of touch and bizarre.  And they don't run it through the shredder.  They have people whose job it is to respond to some of those things.  WTF? Ever heard of an ombudsman or public relations department?

Worse, referring to the complaints a "bitchy little screed" is wrong and beneath you.   Referring to people's feelings about an issue they take seriously as "itty-bitty, tender feelings" is bullying language, and juvenile to boot.

This diary was a game changer for me.  I really do hope that you issue an apology to the diarist who you tore apart with your temper tantrum and someone who has contributed a lot to this blog and did not deserve to be the butt of your out of control and bizarre defensiveness and anger.

As for starting to promote candidates and knock on doors?  Another productive use of your time would be to try to prevent this party from committing political suicide by cutting the programs that 80% of the country do not want to be cut.  In fact, in the lead up to this utterly crazy grand bargain, that's a very wise investment of time.
