The thing that Rush Limbaugh dreads the most, in all of life, guaranteed, is how historians will treat him when he's no longer on the planet to counter their critical analysis.

I predict that Rush "The Idiot Whisperer" Limbaugh, will go down in history as one of the best snake oil salesman, selling idiocy to idiots, in the history of mankind.

But, thank Nature's God that, at the same time, he will also be accurately and correctly considered to be one of the most science-challenged morons, of all time.

This was my first post on the Daily KOS. This place looks like a ton of fun for critical thinkers, I can't wait to write my first diary.

He will simply be forgotten, as if he were never there.

In the scheme of things, he is unimportant.

First, Limbaugh is enough of a cultural phenomenon that some historians will look at his effect on 20th/21st century America.

Second, it appears he had some sort of effect on the policies of a certain president, who is the odds-on favorite for worst president ever. As long as historians study that loser, they'll also study the other loser.

If it weren't for the fact one ignores history at one's peril, I'd be very happy if neither of those two are ever mentioned again. And if a certain building at CMU is leveled & replaced with a mosque.

I think history will show that as Patriarchy/Domination reached its greatest destructive extent (environmental and economic), it was voiced by only these trifling people who showed it to be nothing but childish vanity and cupidity.

Like in calculus where when the function has increased to its highest point, the force that increased it has shrunk to zero, then goes negative and pulls it back down again.

and the other fascist radio and political personalities in the 1930's through 50's will be remembered in history, as will Rush.  But they will forever be remembered for what they are - opportunistic, cruel, bigoted liars.
