Closer in to elections, you get a lot more action-oriented diaries.  This far out, most action diaries that do show up are on policy issues, such as all of the diaries centered around the pipeline or gun safety.

But as another top recc diary said, if you want 'change', you've got to be it.  Don't write meta diaries about the things you don't like on site, write the diaries you want on site that you're not finding.

but we can't change front page diaries.  That was one of the big flaws of the screaming diary that you mention. The diarist she was screaming about was talking about the front page diaries.  I'm pretty sure that's what this diary is focusing on too.

This community is filled with diaries every day of the week about issues.  Scolding the community is really bogus, especially since thousands of hours of free labor go into the content.  It's just BS to start the browbeating again.  The beatings will continue until morale improves!  I'm going to call it out every time I see it.  The problem is not with the community here, just as the problem with the party is not the voters, it's the leadership who ignore what the voters want and don't represent us.

but did today because I wanted to recommend this diary and your comment.

I'm actually spending more time at Eschaton now because Atrios has been on fire lately and this site seems much less relevant.

Elect more Democratic candidates? Why? So they can sell us out once they're in office?

Maybe Daily Kos needs to rethink its mission statement, given this brave new world that's upon us.
