    I don't trash all the work done by evangelicals - I saw really good people doing HIV/AIDS work no one else would touch in PR.  I've also seen the other side - so I tend to judge agencies (secular and Christian) on a case by case basis.

      I am in touch, through Haiti and Katrina work, with many evangelicals. Have great respect for most, and am really glad this discussion is starting and it is fierce!!
      There is a lot of deep questioning going on about adoption in some circles, and as you can imagine the folks involved in Haiti are being touched by it - there is a huge market for children and the poverty of Haiti makes a perfect foil.
      I need to read the book - haven't yet, next one I order, though.
