    these factories are built.  They are regulation-free, tax-free, accountabililty-free insults to humanity, in which subcontracts can themselves subcontract down and down until no one at the partent corporation can claim any knowledge of who is actually making the goods.  

    I'm not saying the workers don't benefit from having some income as opposed to none, but certainly a number of fair trade agreements negotiated by governments (perhaps via nonprofit bodies) would result in far more benefit for all parties involved than the current agreements negotiated by the profiteers.

    It's time to start letting sleeping dinosaurs lie, lest we join them in extinction by our consumption of them.
